Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.
Therapy can provide a space for self exploration, to increase awareness and understanding of your thoughts, feelings and actions. I will strive to help you better understand who you are and what you would like your life to be like, to identify what may be holding you back, and to assist you in taking steps towards positive and meaningful change.
We will work together to identify the most helpful focus for therapy. For some there is work to be done relating to the past, resolving ways of feeling and thinking that are no longer helpful. For others, the focus may be in learning to manage present thoughts and emotions and to learn new patterns of behavior. There can also be a time for working to cultivate a meaningful and hopeful vision for the future.
